Katy Perry has become the first person to reach 50 million followers on Twitter.
The singer overtook Justin Bieber as the most followed person in November last year, although he was the first to hit the 40 million mark in June 2013.

Ashton Kutcher was the first to get one million followers in 2009 with Lady Gaga the first to 10, 20 and then 30 million in October 2012.
However, it is unclear how many of Perry's followers are real.

Welsh government funds drug testing service for public
The Wedinos project, run by Public Health Wales, was set up to tackle the increase in new psychoactive substances, or legal highs.
It is designed to identify what chemicals are in circulation in Wales and use the information to reduce harm.
Critics say it is a waste of money and could be open to abuse from drug dealers.

By providing timely and accurate information this service can save lives
Mark Drakeford AM Minister for Health and Social Services
Samples are sent to the Wedinos laboratory in Cardiff anonymously and the test results posted online, identified by a reference number.
All Wedinos requires is a postcode, meaning the substance is not traced back to the user, regardless of whether it contains a legal or illegal drug.
The service is also open to the public.
Welsh Health Minister Mark Drakeford, who signs off the £100,000 a year funding, says the service is vital to protect people.
"It's essential intelligence for our health workers, for our substance misuse workers, for the police, for young people and their families. By providing timely and accurate information this service can save lives."
Mr Drakeford's Conservative opposite, Darren Millar, is sceptical.
Legal highs 'tried by 12 year olds,' claim drug workers
Dan Rowley works for the Kaleidoscope Project in Newport
He said: "The Welsh NHS is still struggling to cope with the legacy of record-breaking cuts imposed by the Welsh Labour government, yet the NHS has the resources to test addictive and harmful drugs for possible addicts for free.
"It is obviously open to abuse by dangerous criminals peddling harmful substances in order to fund other crime."

It helps us because we can treat the symptoms better if we know it's definitely a stimulant that this person had been taking
"Dan Rowley"
Drugs worker with the Kaleidoscope project in Newport
The Welsh government says there are safeguards in place to stop any potential criminality from happening.
The service is mainly aimed at health and substance misuse workers but is available to anybody in Wales.
People who use the service are warned not to send substances they know are illegal through the postal system.
The police also send substances they cannot identify to Wedinos, which stands for Welsh Emerging Drugs & Identification of Novel Substances.
The phrase 'Wedi Nos' also means 'after dark' in Welsh.
Since launching in October 2013, around 150 samples have been sent in, revealing at least 85 substances from caffeine to cocaine.
Legal highs have proved tricky for authorities across the UK as their use and production has increased over the past few years.
Often, once a substance is banned, manufacturers can change the chemical codes to make a similar product that becomes technically legal again.
Dan Rowley is a drugs worker with the Kaleidoscope project in Newport, a service which helps support people with drug and alcohol problems.
He's says he has used the service several times on behalf of his clients.
"There was one (legal high) called Ivory Dove and Ivory Dove Ultra that people had unexpected experiences with - headaches, hand tremors and seizures.
"I thought it was pretty important to find out what was in it.
"It helps us because we can treat the symptoms better if we know it's definitely a stimulant that this person had been taking.
"For example, there are different therapeutic interventions for a user of a stimulant rather than a user of a depressant."
The UK government says it is carrying out a review of new psychoactive substances to work out a more effective way of dealing with the growth in production and usage.

Henlow car dealership attacked by Tesco deer head man
A man attacked a car showroom with an axe after deciding a Porsche he bought there a decade ago was "no good".
James Hyett, of Saffron Walden, escaped jail last year for leaving a severed deer's head at an Essex Tesco store.
But while serving a suspended sentence, he went to Henlow Car Sales in Henlow, Bedfordshire, in November with the axe.
A two-year community order was imposed by Luton Crown Court, which heard Hyett claimed the firm had not compensated him for the car.
The court was told Hyett was armed with both a knife and an axe at the time.
'Come on then'
He smashed the office window of the saleroom and the rear window of a BMW parked on the forecourt.
Next he moved across to Clifton Cuisine in Broad Street and attacked a Land Rover Discovery, stabbing a tyre with his knife, the court heard.
When chased by a restaurant worker, he stopped and, with the axe in one hand and the knife in the other, said: "Come on then."
The court was told although he left the scene he was found by police shortly afterwards sitting on a wall outside an Esso service station.
The 24-month community order will have a mental health treatment requirement.

The Price Of Amazon Prime May Go Up For First Time
The price of Prime, the $79 yearly subscription that includes free two-day shipping, may increase between $20 and $40 in the U.S., the company said late Thursday in a call with investors and analysts.
The price of Prime hasn't changed in the nine years since it first launched. The company said the increases were the result of rising fuel and shipping costs over the past near-decade.

Beyonce course is offered at an American university
The Department of Women's and Gender Studies at Rutgers University is offering a class called Politicizing Beyonce.
Kevin Allred, who is teaching the class, said he was using the singer's career to explore American race, gender and sexual politics.
The class includes analysis of Beyonce's videos and lyrics as well as readings from black feminists.
Allred also said he wanted to help students at the university in New Jersey think more critically about media consumption.
"This isn't a course about Beyonce's political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama's inauguration weekend," he said.
Rutgers also has a class about the theology of Bruce Springsteen's lyrics.
In the UK, a module in Harry Potter and the age of illusion is on offer at Durham university.
Georgetown University has a class called The Sociology of Hip-Hop: The Urban Theodicy of Jay-Z, focusing on Beyonce's rapper husband.
Earlier this month the couple were named the most powerful people in music by Billboard.
They have both founded their own companies; Beyonce's Parkwood Entertainment and Roc Nation, created by Jay Z.
The pair have been married since 2008 and have a daughter called Blue Ivy.

Superdrug pulls celebrity weight scale after complaints
Celebrities such as Rihanna, Towie's Gemma Collins, Cheryl Cole and Khloe Kardashian appeared in gold stars rather than a weight.
In a statement Superdrug said it had made one scale and it was a prototype.
A spokesperson confirmed the firm would not be producing or selling the scales at any of its branches.
The company also tweeted a statement, which said: "At Superdrug we're committed to helping people get healthier, and supporting those who want to lose, maintain or put on weight in a healthy and responsible way.
"We created a prototype set of celebrity scales to move the conversation away from weight being perceived as a number, as we want to recognise that everyone is different.
"However, we've listened carefully to all our customers' comments and can assure them that the prototype celebrity scales will not be trialled in our stores."
Singer Cheryl Cole commented on Twitter said she was "shocked" at her name being used on the product.
"Please do not include me on your scale," she said. "Girls should be worried about the number on their exam page not a weight scale."

Ukraine unrest: Russia and EU clash at Munich summit
The issue of Ukraine's future has sparked heated debate at a security summit in Munich, with Russia accusing the European Union of double standards.
European Council President Herman Van Rompuy said the "future of Ukraine belongs with the European Union".
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov asked why the EU was defending violent protests and attacks on police.
Ukraine has been in turmoil since November, when it scrapped an EU accord in favour of a Russian bailout.
US Secretary of State John Kerry is due to meet top Ukrainian opposition leaders on the sidelines of the summit. Mr Kerry said his message would be one of full support.
The BBC's Duncan Crawford in Kiev says there is no sign of an end to anti-government protests in the capital and across other regions of Ukraine.
He says the issue of Dmytro Bulatov, a protester who says he was kidnapped and tortured and who is now in hospital in the capital under guard from both police and anti-government demonstrators, continues to cause alarm and anger.
Marshall Plan
Mr Van Rompuy's opening speech at the summit said that Ukraine's "destiny is still in the balance" and that all leaders knew the events in Kiev were a matter of concern.
"The future of Ukraine belongs with the European Union," he said.
Nato chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen said: "Ukraine must have the freedom to choose its own path without extra pressure.
"Democratic principles and rule of law must be respected. Minorities must be protected and not persecuted."
John Kerry said he would try to persuade Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov a resolution in Ukraine was in Moscow's best interests
Opposition activists guard a private hospital in Kiev treating activist Dmytro Bulatov
But Mr Lavrov said that a "choice is being imposed [on Ukraine] and Russia is not going to be engaged in this".
He asked: "What does incitement of violent street protests have to do with the promotion of democracy? Why do we not hear condemnation of those who seize government buildings and attack police and use racist, anti-semitic and Nazi slogans?"
Mr Kerry is scheduled to meet opposition leaders said to include Arseniy Yatsenyuk, boxer-turned-politician Vitaly Klitschko, legislator Petro Poroshenko and pop star Ruslana Lyzhychko.
On Friday, Mr Kerry said: "Our message to Ukraine's opposition will be the full support of President Obama and of the American people for their efforts.
"But we will also say to them that if you get that reform agenda... we would urge them to engage in that because further standoff, or further violence that becomes uncontrollable, is not in anybody's interests."
The White House has confirmed it is discussing possible sanctions against Ukraine with the US Congress.
Ahead of a late Friday meeting with Mr Lavrov, Mr Kerry said he would try to persuade Moscow that an agreement in Ukraine was in its interest.
It was unclear whether Mr Kerry would meet any representatives of the Ukrainian government in Munich. Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara is at the summit.
After talks with German President Joachim Gauck and Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Friday, Mr Yatsenyuk said: "Our German partners expressed their words of support to the Ukrainian people in their fight for freedoms and liberties."
He added: "Ukraine desperately needs a Marshall Plan and not martial law in order to stabilise the political and economic situation in the country."
The BBC's Mariko Oi: "Shocking images of one anti-government protester"
The Marshall Plan was the post-World War Two US aid programme for Europe.
Mr Yatsenyuk, who heads the Batkivshchyna party, recently refused an offer from President Viktor Yanukovych to become prime minister, one of a number of concessions offered to try to end the unrest.
Before arriving in Munich, Mr Kerry said that offers from President Viktor Yanukovych had "not yet reached an adequate level of reform".
President Yanukovych, who is currently on sick leave, has tried to ease the crisis by repealing anti-protest laws, signing an amnesty for protesters and accepting the resignation of his cabinet.
However, opposition leaders are calling for his resignation and early elections.
Both White House spokesman Jay Carney and EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton said they were "appalled" by the apparent signs of torture on Mr Bulatov.
The 35-year-old activist, who went missing for eight days, said he had been "crucified" by his captors. He did not know who had abducted him but said they had spoken with Russian accents.
Our correspondent says there was a standoff overnight at the hospital between police who want to question him and anti-government protesters concerned that he would be taken away.
The interior ministry says it wants to interrogate him on suspicion of organising mass unrest, and to examine his account of torture.
'Uncertain future'
The security conference is an annual event held to discuss military and political affairs.
Mr Kerry and Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel are expected to give a joint speech on Saturday, outlining the American approach for the year ahead.
The BBC's Joan Soley in Munich says it will be a message of "diplomacy first" while remaining militarily prepared.
One US official told her there was "an uncertain future, security-wise".
Syria, Iran and the East Asia will be high on the agenda for all participants.

Labour Party reforms could see unions and MPs lose say
It is part of the Labour leader's proposed shake-up of the party's historic relationship with the trade unions.
Mr Miliband said future leadership contests would be decided by a one member, one vote election.
He described the changes as some of the biggest in the party's history.
The Labour leader embarked on reforming the union link after a selection row in Falkirk last year when allegations of vote-rigging surfaced involving the Unite union.
No wrong-doing has been found to have taken place.
'Cash shortage'
In an interview with the Guardian newspaper, Mr Miliband said: "These are the biggest changes to who can become involved in the Labour Party since probably its formation.
"They go much further than people expected, but they are designed to open us up and complete unfinished business of the past 20 years.
"These reforms are about letting people back into our politics, and getting them back into politics."
Currently - under Labour's electoral college system - MPs and MEPs get a third of the votes to select a new leader, trade unions get a third and party members another third.
That system is to be abolished with every party member and those union members who donate to the party having an equal say.
Under Labour's plans, from the end of 2014 new members of unions affiliated to the party would have to opt in and pay a £3 fee to Labour before they got a vote.
This process would be phased in over five years for existing union members.
MPs would retain the sole right to nominate leadership candidates.
The threshold those candidates would need is also to be raised - possibly to 20% of Labour's MPs.
'Massive change'
At present, trade union members pay a levy to the party - decided by the union - unless they opt out.
Describing the changes as "massive", Mr Miliband acknowledged they could mean donations to the party falling.
"I make no apology for making sure the party is financially secure, so these reforms are being phased over a five-year timescale."
In another mooted change, registered supporters - those who have registered their support but are not full party members - would be entitled to vote in leadership and mayoral elections "for a small fee".
There are currently around 20,000 such supporters and the party hopes to boost that number - partly as a counterweight to the votes of trade unionists, BBC political correspondent Iain Watson said.
Mr Miliband sought to reassure his parliamentary party, telling the Guardian: "They will continue to play an important role with their right to nominate, so it will be MPs that will decide who goes forward to the election in the country on the principle of one member one vote."
The BBC also understands that unions will retain 50% of the votes at the party's conference.
Veteran Labour MP Alan Johnson said he had been arguing for the changes since his time as Communication Workers Union general secretary.
"This is absolutely the right way to go," he told BBC News.
"We have a genuine one member, one vote system to elect our leader."
But the party's Glasgow South West MP Ian Davidson said: "There's been nobody in my constituency coming along and saying to me at this time of economic crisis, what we need is a reorganisation of the Labour Party."
Conservative Party Chairman Grant Shapps suggested union members could outnumber ordinary members by 10 to one under the proposed changes.
He said: "Until now, the union barons could buy Labour's policies, pick Labour's leader and fix Labour's candidate selections. After these changes, it will be even easier for the union barons to buy Labour's policies, even easier to pick the leader and even easier to fix the selections."
