Last week Hollywood and Washington D.C. collided at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. While everyone was talking about Obama’s “Orange is the New Black” joke, we couldn’t get over one of its stars.Uzo Aduba, better known as Crazy Eyes on the Netflix series, attended the event looking the best we have ever seen her, and nothing like her character. Rocking a shoulder-length bob, bright fuchsia lipstick and a black sequin Bariano dress, Aduba’s look was a big departure from her prison garb to say the least.Aduba isn’t the only star that cleans up this nicely. Gwendoline Christie plays a very manly Brienne on “Game of Thrones” while in real life she is a statuesque blonde, and Danai Gurira is unrecognizable when she isn’t killing zombies on “The Walking Dead.”See our picks for some of the most beautiful actresses who play not-so-beautiful characters.
