One of the Nigerian ace Pastor E.A Adeboye has slammed pastors who are misdirecting their congregation into believing that there is a free pass to heaven.

After his teachings about prayer at the International conference centre, Pastor E.A. Adeboye called for souls that want to be saved.

He also added "if you were once holy, and you fallen please come to Christ." "Some popular pastors have been preaching that once you are saved,you are holy."

He said, 'Tell me if you are involved in adultery are you holy?" "My preaching might not be popular because I must preach holiness which is the only visa to
heaven."

Britain Disappointed In Nigeria, Jonathan Over Same Sex Marriage Law

The British government has expressed disappointment over President Goodluck Jonathan's assent to the same sex marriage Bill.

Speaking on the recent development, British Minister of State at the Ministry of Justice, Jeremy Wright, said: "The UK is a close friend of Nigeria, but we are disappointed that President Jonathan
has given his assent to a Bill which will further criminalise same sex relationships in Nigeria. The UK opposes any discrimination on the basis of
sexual orientation.

"The Bill also directly infringes on fundamental rights of expression and association, which are guaranteed by the Nigerian constitution and by Nigeria's international treaty obligations.

"We are concerned by the prospect this raises of further action against an already marginalised section of society," Wright said.

Roger Lloyd Pack, star of Only Fools and Horses, dies aged 69

Roger Lloyd Pack played Del Boy's friend Trigger in Only Fools and Horses.

Roger Lloyd-Pack, the British actor known to millions as slow-witted roadsweeper Trigger in BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses, has died aged 69.

Well-known for his rubbery face and lugubrious delivery, he also appeared as Owen Newitt in The Vicar of Dibley.

Born in Islington, north London in 1944, he was the son of Hammer horror actor Charles Lloyd-Pack and the father of actress Emily Lloyd.

His agent confirmed he died of pancreatic cancer on Wednesday night.

Sir David Jason spoke of his sadness at the news, calling his co-star "a very quiet, kind and unassuming actor who was a pleasure to work with".

"Although he played the simple soul of Trigger in Only Fools and Horses, he was a very intelligent man and a very fine actor capable of many roles.

"I shall remember him with fondness and for all the good times we had together."

A versatile character actor who was at home with both comedy and drama, Lloyd Pack studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (Rada) before making his stage debut in Northampton.

After appearances in The Avengers and other TV shows, his screen debut came in 1968 when he played a small part in The Magus.

His breakthrough came in 1981 when he was cast as Colin "Trigger" Ball, the dim but amiable roadsweeper who always called Nicholas Lyndhurst's Rodney character "Dave".

"If it's a girl they're calling her Sigourney after an actress," he said of Del Boy's child-to-be. "And if it's a boy they're naming him Rodney, after Dave."

Lloyd Pack was the only actor, apart from Lyndhurst and Jason, to appear in both the first and last episode of the much-loved sitcom.

Its success would lead the actor to call his role "both a blessing and a curse" and express bemusement about his popularity with audiences.

'It's extraordinary to me as an actor to find oneself in a sitcom that's been successful and goes on being successful," he said. "I can't go anywhere without anyone going on about it."

His last appearance as Trigger came in the show's 2003 Christmas special. The BBC had hoped he would make an appearance in the sketch show later this year for Sport Relief, but he was too unwell.

In recent years he was seen at the Shakespeare's Globe, appearing alongside Mark Rylance and Stephen Fry in its production of Richard III and Twelfth Night.

A committed socialist, he campaigned for nuclear disarmament and was a supporter of Left Unity, a recently formed "radical political party of the left".

John Challis, who appeared as Boycie in Only Fools, said the news was "very sad and very distressing" and that Lloyd Pack was "irreplaceable".

"My thoughts are with his family," said the actor. "He was a remarkable man and he'll be missed."

Father Ted creator Graham Linehan was among others to pay tribute, saying it was "very sad news".

"Trigger was an ancestor to Father Dougal and I'm glad I once had a chance to tell him so," he said on Twitter.

James Corden called him an "incredible actor and person", while Lord Sugar tweeted that Trigger had been "one of my favourite characters".

Shane Allen, the BBC's controller of comedy commissioning, said: "The nation bids a fond and sad farewell to one of the most popular television sitcom actors of his generation."

His death was also marked by CND, who marked his death by posting a picture of the actor campaigning against Trident.

Murray defeats Millot in Melbourne

Andy Murray came through another day of punishing heat at the Australian Open with a straight-sets win over Frenchman Vincent Millot.

The Briton won 6-2 6-2 7-5 in the final match of the day on Rod Laver Arena, sealing victory at 23:58 local time.

He will play 26th seed Feliciano Lopez of Spain in Saturday's third round.
Murray admitted before the match he knew little about the 5ft 8in left-handed qualifier, ranked 267th, who had his first Grand Slam win in round one.

It was the biggest match of Millot's life and over the course of two hours he transformed from a nervous wreck into a stadium court showman, orchestrating the crowd, before Murray won the last 23 points in a row to end his fun.

Play had been suspended during the afternoon after the 'extreme heat policy' was implemented as the temperature peaked at 43C.

Murray had the benefit of starting his match at just before 22:00 local time with the temperature at 28C, although following an earlier rain shower the humidity had rocketed and conditions remained testing.
The Wimbledon champion was a double-break up after just 11 minutes without having hit a winner, the quality of his groundstrokes contributing to 10 errors from a stage-struck opponent.

Murray looked exasperated when he handed one of those breaks back minutes later with two double-faults in a slack game, but a rasping backhand winner restored the advantage at 4-1 and confirmed the contest was his to dictate.

Millot looked increasingly out of his depth as the opening set slipped by in 36 minutes and his chances dimmed further when he took a medical timeout after 75 minutes for treatment on his calf.

Murray took the opportunity to head off court and change his shirt before returning to clinch the second set with a love hold.

Millot's moment in the spotlight appeared to be rapidly coming to an end but he was clearly determined to leave his mark, bowing theatrically to the crowd on holding serve before a spell of flashing winners that earned him two breaks and a 5-1 lead in the third set.

Keen to avoid a prolonged encounter in only his fourth competitive match since undergoing back surgery in September, Murray decided enough was enough.

From set point down, the Scot reeled off an amazing 23 unanswered points and six games to secure the win.

Brother in French Alps deaths freed from bail

UK police dropped their case Wednesday against the brother of a British-Iraqi man who was killed with his wife, mother-in-law and a French cyclist in a mysterious attack in the foothills of the French Alps.


The bodies of Saad al-Hilli, his wife Ikbal and her mother, Suhaila al-Allaf, were found in a car in a secluded parking lot on the outskirts of Chevaline, an Alpine village near the picturesque Lake Annecy, in September 2012. French cyclist Sylvain Mollet was found shot dead close by.

The couple's two young daughters survived the attack, although one was beaten and shot. The other hid for hours behind her dead mother's skirts and was unharmed.

Saad's brother Zaid al-Hilli, who lives in the county of Surrey, southwest of London, was arrested in June last year on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

He was later released on bail, but Surrey Police said Wednesday that the 54-year-old's bail had been canceled since he could not be charged.

"At this stage there is insufficient evidence to charge him with any criminal offence and no further police action is being taken at this time," the force said in a statement.

The French-led investigation into the murders continues, Surrey Police said, adding that British officers had carried out "exhaustive" inquiries in the United Kingdom as part of the joint probe.

Annecy Prosecutor Eric Maillaud told CNN the French investigators agreed with their British counterparts that there was not enough evidence to pursue the case against Zaid al-Hilli.

Nonetheless, he "remains one of the main suspects in the case," Maillaud said. Investigators suspected that financial issues between the two brothers might have been a motive.

The team continues to work on the case, Maillaud said.
