The Federation of International Football Federations has lifted the suspension it placed on Nigeria after the necessary steps taken from by the concerned authorities to avert the hammer.



FIFA on Friday declared that it had taken into recognition the withdrawal of the court case which restrained the elected board from functioning in their respective offices.



It also confirmed the reinstatement of Aminu Maigari and his board and by its statutes, Nigeria will no longer be suspended and thus is readmitted into the football community.



A FIFA statement read: "FIFA has today, 18 July 2014, lifted the suspension that was imposed on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on 9 July 2014 on account of interference.



"FIFA has noted that the court proceedings and order preventing the president of the NFF, the NFF Executive Committee members and the NFF Congress from running the affairs of Nigerian football that prompted the suspension have been withdrawn.



"As statutory order has been reinstated at the NFF and the legitimate bodies reinstalled, FIFA has decided to lift the suspension as of today, Friday 18 July 2014.''



Impending disqualifications of the Super Falcons will no longer exist as they will now be drawn into group.



All other statutes of the international body are hereby fulfilled and Nigeria restored.

Despite many efforts by anti-piracy campaigners to take down and/or marginalize the Pirate Bay, the site's Web traffic has increased by 100 percent in the last three years alone, TorrentFreak reports.



Even though the Pirate Bay has come under heavy fire in the form of blocks in multiple countries, including the U.K., Denmark, and the Netherlands, both the site's number of unique visitors and page views have been rising steadily since 2011, and there's no reason to believe that this will change anytime soon. Though the Pirate Bay declined to share exact figures, but it is estimated that their monthly page view numbers are in the "hundreds of millions" range.



So how can the Pirate Bay's popularity be increasing if ISPs and nations are blocking access to it? Simple: with the use of proxies. The Pirate Bay told TorrentFreak that roughly 9 percent of the site's visitors do so with the use of proxy server or service.



While organizations like the Recording Industry Association of America and the Motion Picture Association of America have been some of the hardest firms pushing for blocks of Pirate Bay and other sites like it, much of the traffic that the site gets originates from here.



A lot more will have to be done to sink the Pirate Bay's ship, and even then, the site, its users, or both will probably just take yet another detour, and keep sailing right along.

SHOCKING NEWS: RCCG Pastor Butchered By Boko Haram In Borno

The slain pastor's wife and kids have been reported missing. The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Borno state has been thrown into fear and mourning over the killing of one of its pastors by members of Boko Haram sect.



According to reports, the pastor, Taiwo Dokun was killed during an attack on Dille village in Askira-Uba local government area of the state on Monday.



Some members of RCCG who spoke to newsmen say they are yet to ascertain the whereabouts of the deceased pastor's wife and children.



"The family could have been abducted by the insurgents who took away many of the residents of the town as the family members were not found since the attack and have not called any one.



"Though their residence was completely razed by the insurgents, their corpses were not found in the debris," said a church member who pleaded anonymity.



A man, Jacob Mamza narrated how the pastor as killed by the terrorist sect along with 44 other people. He said, "The pastor was in his house at about 6am when the insurgents attacked the village, his house was surrounded by the hoodlums and while attempting to run he was shot."



"Pastor Taiwo was running to a neighbour's house and it was in the course of his fleeing that he was shot in the head and the chest and the insurgent equally came to butcher him to make sure that he was dead."

Sadly, for some reason, the autographed picture never got to Leo. Now sources connected with the actor claim he believes it was stolen.



Before Leo could dial 911, the prized photo eventually landed into the hands of a company called Moments in Time, which is now selling it with an asking price of $25,000!!! Damn!



Leo wants the photo back and according to the NY Post he sicked his lawyer on the company. But Moments in Time is telling Leo to pound sand, claiming they rightly own the photo.



In case you care, there's this thing in the law of America called "bona fide purchaser," meaning if someone buys property not knowing it was ill-gotten, they're generally the rightful owner nonetheless.



Last we checked, that law doesn't hold in the black market and in Africa! Here if you buy a stolen good, you could be locked up as the thief! So, should Leonardo just buy the photo back or take that company to court for stealing his most precious Mandela pic?

NEW ORDER: GOOGLE TO STOP CALLING GAMES WITH IN-APP PURCHASES ‘FREE’

Google assured the European Union that it will no longer list games with in-app purchases as "free" on the Google Play Store, by the end of September. Google's new policy comes after a flurry of lawsuits and complaints from irate customers and parents over expensive in-app purchases.

On Friday, the EU issued a report, detailing all the rules it would like app developers and app stores to follow, in regard to in-app purchases. The guide, which was sent to Apple and Google, recommends the following policies:

Games advertised as "free" should not mislead consumers about the true costs involved.

Games should not contain direct exhortation to children to buy items in a game or to persuade an adult to buy items for them.

Consumers should be adequately informed about the payment arrangements for purchases and should not be debited through default settings without consumers' explicit consent.

Traders should provide an email address so that consumers can contact them in case of queries or complaints.
Google promptly agreed to stop listing games with in-app purchases as free in the Play Store and said that verification will be required for every purchase.

The company did not specify whether the new policy applied to all countries where the Play Store is available, or only in European Union countries.

Meanwhile, the EU accused Apple of dilly dallying on updating its in-app purchase policy.

"Regrettably, no concrete and immediate solutions have been made by Apple to date to address the concerns linked in particular to payment authorization," the organization said in a statement. "Apple has proposed to address those concerns. However, no firm commitment and no timing have been provided for the implementation of such possible future changes."

Apple defended itself in a statement made to the BBC, where it claimed that it's doing "more than others" to rectify its wrongs when it comes to in-app purchases.

"These controls go far beyond the features of others in the industry," a spokesman told the BBC. "But we are always working to strengthen the protections we have in place, and we're adding great new features with iOS 8, such as Ask to Buy, giving parents even more control over what their kids can buy on the App Store."

Apple did not offer any specifics about its new policies, nor did it say that it will stop listing games with in-app purchases as free in the App Store. In January, Apple introduced a way to turn off in-app purchases for iOS 7 users.

4 BIG THINGS 1 MILLION PEOPLE ARE TELLING THE FCC ABOUT NET NEUTRALITY

The Save the Internet campaign "occupies" the FCC. Americans came out in full force against the FCC's proposal to end Net neutrality yet again. The sheer number of comments crashed the FCC's website and disabled the option for hours. In the meantime, protestors sent the FCC email after email demanding that the open Internet be preserved. As a result, the FCC was forced to extend the deadline for the first batch of public comments to Friday July 18.

Back in June, a Net neutrality rant from comedian John Oliver inspired Internet commenters to do what they do best: criticize, attack, and call people names, but this time, he asked them to do it in defense of a free Internet. Commenters gleefully complied with Oliver's request and crashed the FCC's comments page with expletives, bad names, and rude commentary.

This outpouring of public outrage and anger of the FCC's proposal to create Internet fast lanes and effectively kill the spirit of democracy and innovation that characterizes the Web, prompted the FCC to reconsider — for a time.

Then, it decided to proceed with its original idea and the Internet went nuts. Hence the extended window for comments, which has been extended yet again. As of Thursday afternoon, the FCC said it had received more than 1 million comments on the issue.

This time around, many of the comments have been more serious and thoughtful. Big tech companies and ordinary people wrote in support of the open Internet. In their comments, many young Americans ask the FCC to preserve Net neutrality so that they can better compete in the work force and have equal access to all information from the Web, regardless of which website it's from. Others reference America's commitment to a free market economy and the basic structure of capitalism, which demands that all ventures have equal opportunity to compete, so that the best service is made available.

Commenters: ISPs are corrupt

Commenter Eric Madigan argued that the limited number of Internet Service Providers (ISP) available to customers in the United States is deplorable and anti-American. "Most Americans have only one choice for truly high speed Internet: their local cable company," he wrote. "This is a political failure, and it is an embarrassment. America deserves competition and choice."

Commenters went directly after the FCC, saying it and the U.S. government doesn't really care what the people think.

Another commenter, Robert Francis, said that ISPs are corrupt and just want to squeeze more money out of their customers.

"It is already apparent that the end goal by ISPs is to make more and more and more money," he wrote. "In reality who ends up paying more? The U.S. Internet consumer, that's who."

John Santo agreed, saying that "a pay-to-play Internet worries me because network bandwidth is extremely cheap, and the profits made by ISPs are already large. ISPs are trying to double dip their profit by charging both the content providers and consumers based on content and bandwidth, without using the money they currently possess to improve their infrastructure and improve performance on their already highly saturated networks."

One commenter named Cathy Poff seconded his opinion, arguing that " if companies that provide Internet access are able to prioritize which websites and content are provided at fast and slow speeds, they will be able to infringe upon the spirit of capitalism, and possibly even the freedom of speech."

Commenters: Internet fast lanes will stifle innovation

One of the more common themes in the comments centered around the important role that the open Internet plays in sparking innovation.

Commenter Adrian Toribio stated that "a pay-to-play Internet worries me because any person or company with enough sums of cash could easily buy and shut down the voices of anyone that opposes them."

"Set aside the economic repercussions," he added. "The destruction of any and all small online businesses that are trying to compete in this monopolized world, the very freedoms of the people are being taken … This country and the world is slowly turning to the rich to make all its decisions, not the majority. Allowing money to dictate the use and speed of the internet is the literal murder of democracy, and the last true bastion of public forum we have as a nation and as a world."

Monica Banasiuk shared Toribio's view. "This is horrendous and will be the death of anyone with a bright idea but no money," she wrote. "The internet is intended to be equal opportunity, a level playing field. Do not make it easier for monopolies to stay monopolies."

Commenter John Basler, added that "allowing a non-neutral Internet would allow de-facto monopolies to arise, and stifle growing e-business."

Commenters: The government doesn't care

Meanwhile, other commenters went directly after the FCC, saying that the organization and the U.S. government as a whole doesn't really care what the people think.

One such comment from Will Kommor began in a sarcastic vein, promising not to use flowery language or overstate the importance of Net neutrality, but ended with a truly heartfelt sentiment, with which many other commenters agreed.

"Revolution will be closer than you expect. And the people who sold out, will be left out."
"The fact that all these millions of us are lobbying for the freedom of the Internet shouldn't matter because voices without dollar signs attached to them could be, at least in the context of an official FCC proceeding, just little raindrops hitting and bouncing off," Kommor wrote sarcastically.
"But like I said, nothing flowery. So what else can I say? I'm filling out a form," he concluded. "Please don't let our leaders choke the Internet. Plain and simple English. Because without the Internet, language is all I have."

Commenter Alan Mayo wrote the FCC to say that if the government continues to stifle free speech, "revolution will be closer than you expect. And the people who sold out, will be left out."

Commenters: The FCC should protect the Internet's future

Most commenters agreed that it is the FCC's job to defend the Internet's integrity.

One commenter named Mark Stucker actually wrote a real letter to the FCC, explaining the importance of Net neutrality in detail. He even went so far as to say the government needs to give legal protection to free speech on the Internet.

"There needs to be legislation harshly penalizing companies that engage in this practice (of slowing down service) once legislation is passed to prevent it," he wrote. "I would like to see key corp. officers go to jail for flagrant violations not just stiff fines for the companies themselves."

CARS: DOES THE 2015 CHEVY COLORADO HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A FORD RAPTOR RIVAL?

The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is setting off a performance-truck arms race.



While the Raptor likely won't transition to the all-new 2015 F-150 platform for the time being, Toyota is beefing up its Tundra with the new TRD Pro Series, and Ram is steadily upgrading the Power Wagon.



Conspicuously absent from the party is General Motors, but a new report suggests GM is cooking up something completely different.



Instead of the full-size Silverado, the company's Raptor rival could be based on the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado midsize truck, according to GM Authority.



The more-compact Colorado would weigh less, meaning better performance on the trail. Its smaller footprint will likely make this truck easier to maneuver than the gargantuan Raptor, too.





Ford Raptor

GM is mute on the matter, so it's unclear exactly what a performance version of the Colorado would be like.



Chevy did unveil a Colorado Rally Concept based on the global version of the truck back in 2011, but the significantly-updated U.S. spec 2015 Colorado fairly different from that truck.



Beefed-up suspension and large, chunky tires seem like sure things, and the 3.6-liter V6 seems like the best engine choice to hot rod. The Colorado will also be offered with 2.5-liter gasoline and 2.8-liter DURAMAX diesel four-cylinder engines.



Still, Chevy did manage to stick a V8 under the hood of the previous Colorado, so anything is possible.



Fans are already speculating that the new truck will revive the ZR2 moniker from the old S-10, but Chevy can probably do better.



If the Ford is a Raptor, then surely the name of a creature that's lighter and more agile, but still deadly, is up for grabs? Pteradon, maybe?

NEW TECHNOLOGY: YOU’LL KNOW THE TIME LIKE THE BACK OF YOUR HAND, WHEN THIS WATCH PROJECTS IT THERE

Have you ever wondered how great it would be to make better use of all that blank, unproductive space on the back of your hand? Apparently four guys in San Jose, California, have thought about that very question, so they've launched a crowdfunding project to bring a unique type of watch to the masses.

The Ritot is touting itself as the world's first "projection watch." More specifically, it's a bracelet that looks sort of like a Fitbit Flex and uses a pico projector to display the time and various smartphone notifications on the back of your hand.

The functionality is straightforward: Tap the Ritot or shake your hand and see the current time displayed on your hand for 10 seconds. Sync it with your smartphone and you can see a variety of notifications on the back of your hand – a caller's name, text messages, reminders, social media alerts, weather alerts and emails, among others. The Ritot can also be set to vibrate when notifications are received or when an alarm goes off.

A base pad is included with the Ritot. It acts as a wireless charger and an interface you can use to customize the color of the watch's projections. The base can also act as an alarm clock.

The Ritot comes in two flavors: bracelet and sport. The bracelet version has a leather surface and is available in white, black and completely black. The sport version uses plastic and rubber and comes in black or white.

Its Indiegogo campaign (which has a page chock-full of interesting photos) began on July 7 and has already raised more than $114,200, or 229 percent of its $50,000 goal. The campaign closes on Aug. 21.

The Ritot will have 150 hours (6.25 days) of battery life in projection mode and one month in standby mode. Indiegogo backers can get a Ritot set (watch and free base charger) for $120, which is $40 below the $160 retail price. Shipments are expected to begin at the end of January 2015.

Smartwatches are all the rage right now, and it seems that the only way the Ritot will truly be able to compete in the long run is if future builds enable users to interact with projections, essentially turning a human hand into a touchscreen.

DISCOVERY: THIS PETRIFIED PILEUP HAS BEEN STUCK IN A BELGIAN FOREST SINCE WWII – UPDATE

Think traffic is bad in your area? These retro classics haven't moved for 70 years.

The Chatillon Car Graveyard in Southern Belgium is one of the largest car burial sites in the world. Now a gathering place for tourists, collectors, and photographers, Chatillon is an eerie snapshot of a dark time in our planet's history.

During WWII, when American troops were stationed in Belgium, servicemen began to acquire classic cars and collectables through a variety of means. Some bought, some stole, and others simply found during the chaos of war.

Then, in 1945, the Axis Powers surrendered. American troops were called back to the U.S., but it was too expensive to ship their prized automobiles back with them.

Military commanders ordered that the vehicles be left behind, so the soldiers drove the cars deep into the woods, hiding them in a woodland near the small village of Chatillon. Surely, they hoped one day they could return to collect their newly acquired transportation.

When the soldiers returned home, however, they were informed that if they wanted to retrieve their motoring souvenirs, they had to raise the shipping charges themselves. It must have been expensive in 1945, because to this day, not a single car has been retrieved.

And so the tomb remains. Antique Volkswagens, Volvos, and various others litter the forest floor, where Mother Nature has had her way with them. Tires have gone flat, body panels have been taken over by rust, and windows have been smashed. Time may not have been kind to these beauties, but this automotive necropolis still remains, perhaps waiting for the day their owners will come and polish them back to their former glory.

At one point, there were nearly 500 vehicles spread throughout the forests near Chatillon, but that number dwindled over the years due to theft and environmental cleanups.

UPDATE: According to our contributor Ronan Glon, all of the vehicles have been cleared from the woods. So now these haunting pictures are all that remain of the once-mighty pileup.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko informed German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister David Cameron on Friday about the international team investigating the circumstances of Malaysian airliner tragedy, his press service said.



"The president stressed that the black boxes from the aircraft should remain with international experts and not be passed to a third country by terrorists," his press service said in a statement.



"He invited German and British experts to get involved in the work."

TOP NEWS AbbVie’s Shire merger backed with 13.5 billion pound bridge loan

LONDON (Reuters) - U.S. drugmaker AbbVie's (ABBV.N) 32 billion pounds acquisition of Dublin-based Shire Plc (SHP.L) is backed with a 13.5 billion pounds ($23.03 billion) bridge loan, according to the company's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the US.



JP Morgan is the sole arranger and underwriter of the bridge loan, which is expected to be refinanced with up to 15.5 billion pounds of senior unsecured bonds that AbbVie is planning to issue to cover the cash element of the acquisition.



AbbVie bought Shire on Friday in a $54.7 billion deal that will allow it to slash its tax bill by relocating to Britain.



The bridge loan comprises a loan of up to 9.1 billion pounds with a 364-day maturity, a 3.2 billion pounds loan with a 364-day maturity, and a 1.2 billion pounds facility with a maturity of 60 days.



The financing pays an interest margin of 62.5 basis points (bps) to 150bps over Libor, depending on rating of the merged company after the acquisition.



There is also an initial commitment fee of 10bps on undrawn amounts, which can ratchet in a range from 6bps to 17.5bps, depending on the company's public debt rating after the acquisition.



AbbVie is being encouraged to refinance the debt quickly by a duration fee of 50bps, which is payable 90 days after closing. This rises to 75bps 180 days after closing and to 100bps 270 days after closing.



Shire was advised by Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Evercore and Citigroup, while AbbVie was advised by J.P. Morgan.($1 = 0.5861 British Pounds)
