(NYSE:FTI) Responsibilities: • Performs accounting duties of a complex nature requiring advanced professional experience, knowledge and competency in accounting principles and practices. • Responsible for quotation, budgeting, invoicing, cost control and reporting for dedicated projects in Customer Support. • Assist Project Manager in financial issues and be involved in decisions of financial characters Main Tasks: • Understand the fundamentals of project financial management using WBS structures as profit and cost collectors. • Create and maintain project networks to track and plan office direct labor and material costs. • Create and maintain project billing milestones. • Set-up billing sales order documents based on the payment terms and schedule defined in the customer contract • Create and maintain project billing plans • Understanding of the difference in commercial terms (CostPlus, Unit Rate, & Fixed Price) • Create project specific and customer specific pricing agreements for reimbursable scopes of work • Create and analyze debit memo requests for earned reimbursable scopes of work • Create and analyze billing request documents for earned fixed price milestones. • Assist the Project Manager in managing project AR including obtaining supporting documentation and following up with customer AP personnel to ensure that invoices are paid within theterms defined on the contract • Analyze project actual, committed and planned costs at a very detailed basis to assess what the appropriate EAC should be on a monthly period basis. • Analyze production progress reports to understand actual progress and areas where commercial deliveries in the future could be at risk. • Understand the potential magnitude of remaining scopes of work based on current and past performances (Productivity). • Assist the Project Manager in the identification, assessment, and development and management of mitigation plans for project risks. • Understand project scopes of work and identify when project scope changes have occurred • Assist in the development and execution of internal and external project changes. • Analyze actual cost and understand if improper cost allocations have occurred. • Challenge product Work Package Leads on financial and delivery data if necessary. • Responsible for internal budgeting on projects in accordance with internal procedures • Tasks related to period-end-closing • Monthly internal reporting – Cash flow forecast, project financials, WIP etc Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration. So, as one who have tested the gains behind this world respected industry, I want to do everything humanly possible to remove the spirit of shyness from our young girls and encourage them not to rely on politicians to make up their lives, rather, they can become very useful to the society by way of working harder and converting what is in them to meaningful venture and be self reliant and respected in the society."

Speaking further, Queen Isabela hinted that the event is going to attract top shots of the Nigerian entertainment industry. "Top artists like Ikechukwu, Flavor and many other music and stand up comedians will do what they know best at the maiden event."

Apart from representing Cross River State in this year's 2014 edition of the MBGN being hosted in Bayelsa State later, the winner will cart away a brand new car, one year befitting accommodation within Calabar metropolis, a cash prize, a scholarship grant and a trip to the United Kingdom. The winner is expected to reign for the period of one year and will facilitate the project of the First Lady in the state.

The crowned queen will also have to raise funds for many other women and children focused programs and projects in the state and support the fight against typhoid fever, malaria and other terrifying pandemic diseases as well as other social vices common in our society.

Oprah Winfrey Sued By an 86-Year-Old Nuclear Physicist

Why Oprah Winfrey is being sued is interesting, and we'll get to that in a moment, but just let it sink in for a moment ... the guy suing her is an 86-year-old nuclear physicist. How cool is that? Charles D.



Goodman filed a lawsuit in San Miguel County District Court against Winfrey and the companies involved in her purchase of a plot of land near Telluride ... claiming the deal unfairly blocks off access to trails that have been open to the public for years.



Winfrey purchased 66 acres of land in Mountain ViIlage for $10.85 million in March. According to Goodman, the trails were originally owned by the U.S.

Forest Service but when they traded the land away, they made sure public access to the trail was included in the deal. Goodman claims the public access was included in every subsequent deal involving the land, but once Oprah's company took over ... the access was taken away. Goodman tells TMZ, "I have no objection to Oprah to building a house.



But I do not like the idea of being blocked off by gates and fences." A rep for O released a statement saying in part, "It is our hope that we can work together on a usage plan that is mutually agreeable."

Police are investigating, but a park employee tells us Biebs didn't touch that lady.

The final Wenger dare not lose

When Arsenal face Hull City in Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley, it will be four days short of nine years since manager Arsene Wenger last sampled the joy of lifting a trophy.

Since the moment Patrick Vieira's final kick as an Arsenal player secured victory on penalties over Manchester United in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium in 2005, Wenger and the Gunners have been forced to measure their success in terms of Champions League qualification.

Wenger once described reaching the Champions League as the fifth trophy on offer to clubs at the start of the season - and it is one they succeeded in claiming for the 17th year in a row after fighting off the challenge of Roberto Martinez's Everton.

In reality, however, a club of Arsenal's stature and history cannot seriously be sustained by annual qualification for a competition they may never win as a substitute for tangible success.
Arsenal's tradition states that they must be seen to be winning trophies and not simply celebrating fourth-placed finishes.

Judged in those terms, the last nine years have been a bitter disappointment for a manager of Wenger's quality and a club of Arsenal's standards.

And on Saturday evening at Wembley, Wenger's Arsenal start as firm favourites to finally end the trophy drought that has been an almost ever-present shadow over one of the game's most respected individuals and a manager who brought such glorious success in the first half of his tenure.

Steve Bruce's astute management means Hull City will pose a serious threat but Wenger knows this is a game he dare not lose.

Should Arsenal leave Wembley without the FA Cup, the questions will come again about whether he can ever regain the sure touch of a decade ago, and whether he has lost the abilities that came as second nature after he arrived at Highbury in September 1996.

Wenger has shown every indication of extending his stay as Arsenal manager, dismissing rumoured interest from former club Monaco. (external) But how would such disappointment sit with both him and a passionate fan base desperate for trophies rather than the consolation of a top-four place in the Premier League?

If Arsenal win, however, Wenger has every right to paint the season as a successful one.

He could also use a long-overdue triumph as evidence that he still has that power and would be able to support his never-ending supply of optimism and faith in his methods and players by pointing to the FA Cup, a piece of silverware that should never be devalued.

It would also surely give Wenger renewed enthusiasm that he is on the right lines. This is why Saturday represents one of the most important games in his Arsenal career.

As Wenger reflects on Arsenal's season, he is right to state mitigating circumstance with the loss of Theo Walcott to a serious knee injury and long absences for Aaron Ramsey, whose return provided vital impetus in the closing weeks of the season, Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
But there was also the mystifying decision not to invest in a striker following the serious pursuit of Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez last summer. If it was such a priority then, why was it not rekindled in January when the need was even more acute?

To only bring in on-loan (not to mention injured) Swedish veteran Kim Kallstrom in the second transfer window, with Arsenal right in the hunt for the title at that time, was an obvious error.

Wenger, studying champions Manchester City and Liverpool racking up more than 100 league goals, made the observation that Arsenal must improve offensively - and for that he must go for top-class targets and be prepared to pay the price they cost.
He believes Arsenal are "close".

But with City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United certain to embark on significant recruitment this summer, Wenger must match them if this season is not to be seen in retrospect as a painful lost opportunity to reclaim the title.

Wenger said: "It will be busy but the main thing for us will be to keep the stability because we feel we are close. We want to add something that makes us even stronger but, number wise, it will not be massive."

What Wenger must add first, and what may yet shape any debate about his future and his standing among fans who by and large revere and respect what he has done for Arsenal, is win the FA Cup.

Bruce's street wisdom will no doubt see him play on the pressures that will be applied to Arsenal.

If Hull win it will be a moment in history - if they lose there will be disappointment but also great credit.
If Arsenal win it will be well received by those (and they include plenty in the media who are wrongly accused of having an anti-Wenger agenda) who admire this popular and gifted man who has brought so much to the British game and the Premier League.
If Arsenal lose he will, as he knows, face fierce criticism.

If Arsenal win it can mark the start of a new era of success for Wenger. If Arsenal lose the drought goes on and many will wonder whether he will ever bring trophies back to the club.

And on Saturday evening at Wembley, Wenger's Arsenal start as firm favourites to finally end the trophy drought that has been an almost ever-present shadow over one of the game's most respected individuals and a manager who brought such glorious success in the first half of his tenure.

Steve Bruce's astute management means Hull City will pose a serious threat but Wenger knows this is a game he dare not lose.

Should Arsenal leave Wembley without the FA Cup, the questions will come again about whether he can ever regain the sure touch of a decade ago, and whether he has lost the abilities that came as second nature after he arrived at Highbury in September 1996.

Wenger has shown every indication of extending his stay as Arsenal manager, dismissing rumoured interest from former club Monaco. (external) But how would such disappointment sit with both him and a passionate fan base desperate for trophies rather than the consolation of a top-four place in the Premier League?

If Arsenal win, however, Wenger has every right to paint the season as a successful one.

He could also use a long-overdue triumph as evidence that he still has that power and would be able to support his never-ending supply of optimism and faith in his methods and players by pointing to the FA Cup, a piece of silverware that should never be devalued.

It would also surely give Wenger renewed enthusiasm that he is on the right lines. This is why Saturday represents one of the most important games in his Arsenal career.

As Wenger reflects on Arsenal's season, he is right to state mitigating circumstance with the loss of Theo Walcott to a serious knee injury and long absences for Aaron Ramsey, whose return provided vital impetus in the closing weeks of the season, Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
But there was also the mystifying decision not to invest in a striker following the serious pursuit of Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez last summer. If it was such a priority then, why was it not rekindled in January when the need was even more acute?

To only bring in on-loan (not to mention injured) Swedish veteran Kim Kallstrom in the second transfer window, with Arsenal right in the hunt for the title at that time, was an obvious error.

Wenger, studying champions Manchester City and Liverpool racking up more than 100 league goals, made the observation that Arsenal must improve offensively - and for that he must go for top-class targets and be prepared to pay the price they cost.
He believes Arsenal are "close".

But with City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United certain to embark on significant recruitment this summer, Wenger must match them if this season is not to be seen in retrospect as a painful lost opportunity to reclaim the title.

Wenger said: "It will be busy but the main thing for us will be to keep the stability because we feel we are close. We want to add something that makes us even stronger but, number wise, it will not be massive."

What Wenger must add first, and what may yet shape any debate about his future and his standing among fans who by and large revere and respect what he has done for Arsenal, is win the FA Cup.

Bruce's street wisdom will no doubt see him play on the pressures that will be applied to Arsenal.

If Hull win it will be a moment in history - if they lose there will be disappointment but also great credit.
If Arsenal win it will be well received by those (and they include plenty in the media who are wrongly accused of having an anti-Wenger agenda) who admire this popular and gifted man who has brought so much to the British game and the Premier League.
If Arsenal lose he will, as he knows, face fierce criticism.

If Arsenal win it can mark the start of a new era of success for Wenger. If Arsenal lose the drought goes on and many will wonder whether he will ever bring trophies back to the club.

Galaxy S5 sales hit 11 million in first month, Samsung boss confirms

Samsung's flagship Galaxy S5 handset is selling at a brisk pace, according to JK Shin, the company's co-CEO and head of mobile.



Since hitting stores early last month, sales of the latest model of the Korean tech giant's flagship phone have crossed the 11 million mark, Shin told the WSJ this week. This means it's selling faster than its predecessor, the S4, which sold about 10 million units in the same time period.



"It's been a month since we began selling the S5, and out of the gate, sales are much stronger than the Galaxy S4," Shin told the WSJ.



The healthy sales figures may surprise some as competition increases within a market that's heading rapidly toward saturation point in some regions.



Shin attributed the S5′s strong sales performance to a more clearly thought out launch strategy that saw the device land simultaneously in 125 countries and included agreements with major carriers from the off.



In addition, the tech firm has also been increasing its presence in brick-and-mortar stores, giving the S5 increased exposure.



The seemingly strong sales of the S5 come in spite of mixed reviews for the handset following its launch in April, with some criticizing it for its stale design, plastic body, and overabundance of Samsung services. Last week it was reported the company's head of mobile design had resigned, leading many to wonder if criticism of the S5 had led to conflict within sections of the company.



Samsung's overall smartphone business, while still performing well, is undoubtedly coming under increasing pressure from rivals, particularly in developing markets. The Seoul-based company shipped 89 million smartphones globally in the first three months of 2014 compared to 69.4 million in the same period a year earlier. However, these figures, published by Strategy Analytics, put the company's global market share at 31.2 percent, down from 32.4 percent 12 months earlier.

Angry soldiers open fire on GOC’s vehicle in Maiduguri

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Ahmadu Mohammed, yesterday, escaped death as angry soldiers opened fire on his official vehicle when he came to address them at the Maimalari Barracks in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

This came as local villagers succeeded in repelling a Boko Haram attack, killing about 200 of the sect members in the process.

Conflicting reports said the soldiers rebelled when they were forced to return to Maiduguri from Chibok as they considered it unsafe. The soldiers argued that it was dark and dangerous to return to Maiduguri that night.

They therefore requested the GOC to allow them spend the night in one of the villages considered to be safe for them, but the GOC insisted that they must return the same night and report to Maiduguri.

Another source said the soldiers went on an operation in Kala Balge council area of the state but they were instructed to withdraw from the assignment and return to Maiduguri immediately. The source said on their way back, they were ambushed leading to the death of some soldiers.

According to the source: "The troops arrived with the corpses of the slain soldiers to Maimalari barracks while the GOC was addressing some troops on the ongoing operation against the insurgency. But when the soldiers sighted the corpses of their deceased colleagues, and learnt about how they died, they condemned the way their superior officers allegedly treated them in the course of the operation, and therefore started shooting sporadically, while others opened fire on the GOC's vehicle as he narrowly escaped from the scene".

According to the source, "what angered the soldiers most, was the unnecessary deduction of their allowances and subjecting them to harsh working conditions without proper equipment to carry out their duties and as a result, many of them were being killed like rats by the insurgents".

DHQS to probe incident

According to BBC Hausa service monitored in Maiduguri by our Correspondent, "the Defence spokesman, Major General Chris Olukolade who was called on phone could not answer, but a text message was sent to him and he later replied that, "it was an internal affair which has since been resolved".

Meanwhile, the Defence Headquarters has set up an enquiry into the incident. A statement issued later, yesterday, from the Joint Information Centre of the Counter Terrorism Campaign and signed by Major General Chris Olukolade said: "The 7 Division of the Nigerian Army is to institute a military board of inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the conduct of soldiers who fired some shots today (yesterday) while the General Officer Commanding was addressing troops in Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri.

"The incident occurred when the corpses of four soldiers who died in an ambush while returning from patrol duties in Chibok were being conveyed to the morgue. There is calm in the cantonment and all normal operations activities are ongoing".

Borno indigenes rise up against Boko Haram, kill 200 in Rann

Meanwhile, residents of Rann, the headquarters of Kala-Balge Local Government Area in the North-Eastern part of Borno State, successfully repelled a Boko Haram attack and killed 200 of the insurgents.

But the residents want immediate military support in anticipation of a reprisal attack from the badly humiliated Islamists.

The bold move came as the previously traumatised local population in Borno State took their survival in their own hands and laid ambush for the insurgents that were approaching the village to raid and kill them as in past experiences.

Reports from Maiduguri said the residents who had turned a blind eye to the sect's reign of terror decided to confront them.

Before now, Boko Haram had cowed the residents of local villages in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa but the people of Rann town in Borno State decided to fight back and killed about 200 of the Boko Haram terrorists in an angry reaction to their reign of terror.

Reports said "the abduction of the Government Girls Secondary School Chibok schoolgirls, has changed the orientation and attitude of the people who are now prepared to die fighting the criminal band who use Islam as a cover up for their atrocities."

An eye witness account said this was the second attempt by Boko Haram to attack Rann after trying it about a month ago but were equally repelled. About 300 insurgents were on their way to storm Rann and other adjoining villages at about 4am yesterday but met resistance from the people who had advance knowledge of the impending attack.

"Exasperated with the endless terror unleashed upon them, local people have finally had enough and decided to take direct action to rid themselves of the menace.

"Early this morning, (Tuesday) armed with just traditional fighting equipment and charms, the residents launched a ferocious counter offensive as they were determined not to allow their town become a terrorist haven".

One of the participants in the counter offensive said: "The people in Rann and its environs used traditional fighting equipment and charms to repel the attacks. We really confronted the attackers who were equally ready for fight.

"The villagers succeeded in protecting their dwellings from the attackers, killing about 200 members of the sect while many others escaped with serious wounds.

"Our people also recovered over 70 motorcycles that the attackers came in, including two Hilux vehicles and an Armoured Personnel Carrier, while some of the attackers were captured alive. "The Rann battle lasted several hours.

How Borno villagers killed the insurgents

According to reports, the villagers who got wind of the plan, prepared for the Boko Haram attack by digging trenches for the purpose. The Rann village, located in the middle of a Boko Haram strong-hold, had been attacked by Boko Haram in the recent past.

According to reports, over 400 Boko Haram terrorists stormed Rann and neighbouring villages in the early hours of Tuesday, with their usual convoy of Hilux trucks, motorcycles and APC (Armoured Personnel Carriers) only to meet villagers ready for them this time.

The civilian villagers reportedly pounced on the terrorists with mere rocks, bows and arrows, local dane guns, swords and "charms". Boko Haram members, said to be much frightened of Civilian-JTF, ran from the civilians. The battle reportedly raged till the sun came up and ended with the civilians killing over 200 Boko Haram terrorists, capturing several prisoners and recovering several of their vehicles.

Last week, Boko Haram terrorists ravaged Gondura Ngala town, reportedly killing over 300 residents. On April 14th, Boko Haram stormed Chibok and abducted over 200 girls.

The Shehu of Bama was reported to have ordered his citizens to go get guns, after his town was completely decimated twice by Boko Haram terrorists with no military response for the full eight hours of carnage.

Boko Haram Begins to Destabilise Cameroon

Meanwhile, Senior defence officials say that Cameroon has been infiltrated by Boko Haram and there are fears the nation, is drifting into chaos.

"Right now, we are being infiltrated by Boko Haram. The military has decided to strengthen the intelligence system to effectively counter this threat, which seems to be gaining local support," Colonel Didier Badjeck, spokesperson for the Cameroon Ministry of Defence, told IPS.

Governor of Cameroon's Far North Region, Augustine Awa Fonka, told IPS that the precision with which the extremist group attacked a military post in the region on May 5, lends credence to the fact that the attack was carried out with the help of local informants.

Cameroon's north western border runs along the length of Nigeria's eastern border, stretching to Nigeria's north-east — a Boko Haram stronghold.
