SHOCKING NEWS: Nigerian passenger Died Inside US Bound Plane

A passenger reportedly died on a Nigeria-to-JFK flight after vomiting Thursday but an examination of the remains proved that the death was not Ebola-related.

This is as another passenger who was on Air France Lagos-Paris-Madrid flight who developed fever midflight and was quarantined on suspicion of having the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease was later certified free of the infection.

However, Representative Peter King said in a letter to Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection that the handling of the remains exposed serious flaws in airport preparedness for an Ebola outbreak.

Between 70 and 100 passengers a day arrive at JFK from the Ebola endemic countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, King noted, pointing out that they had access to public restrooms and mingle with other travellers before their first screening.

"Given the high volume of travellers at JFK, it is essential that extraordinary measures are taken to intercept possible Ebola-infected passengers. These individuals transit the airport with the rest of the travelling population, including using the restrooms.

"It is only after they arrive at the Customs and Border Protection primary screening location that they are separated and sent to secondary inspection for a medical check and to complete the questionnaire", he wrote to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and Customs Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske.

His letter demanded Homeland Security immediately beef up protocols for potentially infected passengers both in flight and at the terminal itself, prior to their reaching the screening location.

The letter also demanded better training and safety equipment for the Port Authority police and Customs and Border Protection officials who could come into contact with high-risk passengers.

The unnamed passenger, age 63, had boarded an Arik Air plane Wednesday night out of Lagos, Nigeria.

BON AWARD: Between Rotimi Amaechi And Nollywood..No Love Lost

Hear what Governor Rotimi said about people in Nollywood

"They products of circumstances/necessity.. The only reason they are in Nollywood is because they couldn't find other jobs, that if they had, they won't be actors.

They studied sciences, law, medicine etc but because they couldn't find jobs, they embraced Nollywood.

Also:

Governor Rotimi also put two veteran actresses on blast. He told the crowd that he gives Joke Silva and Kate Henshaw bags of money whenever they come to Rivers state.

The organizers of BON Award have come out to refute the story.

SPORT NEWS Pats stave off Jets to record third straight win

(Reuters) - The New England Patriots blocked a 58-yard field goal attempt as time expired to hold on for a 27-25 victory over the slumping New York Jets on Thursday.

Tom Brady tossed three touchdown passes but the Patriots (5-2) faced a surprisingly tough challenge from their lowly AFC East rivals before emerging with a third win in a row.

"They're off to a tough start and they gave us everything we could handle," Brady told reporters. "Football is a tough sport and you never know what you're going to get. It comes down to how you perform when it matters most."

In a tight contest at New England's Gillette Stadium, New York quarterback Geno Smith threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Cumberland to pull the Jets to within two points with a little more than two minutes remaining.

New York, however, failed to convert a two-point conversion that would have tied the game and their final desperation drive reached the New England 40, where Nick Folk's kick was blocked.

Folk finished with four field goals as the Jets (1-6) fell to their sixth straight loss, their longest losing streak since 2007.

There was little indication of the Jets putting up much resistance when Brady fired a 49-yard touchdown pass to Shane Vereen after just two-and-a-half minutes.

However, New York refused to buckle and although they could not find the end zone, four field goals kept it close as the Jets trailed 17-12 at halftime.

Better was to follow for the visitors when a strong opening second-half drive led to Chris Ivory's one-yard touchdown that put the Jets 19-17 ahead early in the third.

New England responded with a field goal to regain the lead and Brady fired a 19-yard strike to Danny Amendola with 7:49 remaining in the game to stretch the advantage to eight points.

Smith, who is enduring a tough second NFL campaign, finished with 226 yards passing and did not commit a turnover but was still unable to grind out the win.

New England running back Vereen, who has taken the lead role after the team lost Stevan Ridley to a season-ending knee injury, rushed for 43 yards and added 71 receiving yards for two scores.
