- 55'Good news for Bayern, as Badstuber was withdrawn in the first half as a result of a thigh problem, not a dreaded recurrence of his previous knee complaints.
- 53'Muller drags an effort wide! Bayern break well down the left, before the Germany international is picked out drifting in from the opposite flank! He makes contact, but not enough to change the delivery's destination drastically enough to test Ulreich! Moments later, Lewandowski lashes an acrobatic volley over the crossbar.
- 51'Good block from Boateng! Kostic shows his pace to streak down the left-hand side, before the Germany international defender comes across well to slide in and deny the substitute a chance to shoot or cross. Veh's introduction of the Serbian has certainly asked Bayern a few questions already.
- 50'Kostic delivers an excellent cross from deep on the left-hand side, which bobbles through the legs of Harnik and Bernat as the two close in on the back post! The ball bobbles wide of the target, but that could have ended up anywhere!
- 49'Lahm floats a ball in towards the back post, but Ulreich is able to come off his line and claim unchallenged. A few fouls in the centre of the park have broken down the flow of the opening few minutes of the second half.
- 47'One change at the break, with Kostic coming into the fray in place of Ibisevic, who didn't have a great deal of service in the first half. Stuttgart definitely need more intensity up front to test a rather comfortable Bayern back three.

- 46'We are back underway in the second half! Stuttgart need to improve massively to try and take three points from this contest, with a solitary point the most optimistic Veh can probably afford to be at this point in time.
- Be sure to rejoin us in ten minutes time for all of the second half action, as Bayern look to secure three points and forget their disappointing draw to Schalke last time out. Stuttgart, meanwhile, will be happy to keep goals conceded to a minimum.
- Stuttgart have looked threatening from set pieces, but otherwise the away side look clueless as to how they're going to get back into this game. Rudiger has been impressive at the heart of their defence, but Bayern have controlled large portions of this opening 45 minutes.
- HALF TIME! Bayern hold a slender one-goal lead at the break, with Gotze's goal the only thing separating the two sides. Badstuber has been withdrawn with what seems to be another knee injury, but otherwise it's all smiles for Guardiola's side thus far.
- 45'Rudiger goes down holding his collarbone following a clash with Muller, but the Germany international looks fine to continue. There will be one minute of stoppage time.
- 44'Veh looks extremely animated on the sidelines, urging his team to try and find the equaliser. Gianluca Gaudino replaces Badstuber for Bayern, with Guardiola seemingly keen to continue dominate the midfield battle, with Alaba presumably asked to sit back into defence.

- 42'Badstuber goes down through injury, with Bayern's physios immediately taking to the field. It appears to be the defender's knee, with the central defender pulling up after playing a pass. He won't be able to continue and looks incredibly frustrated as he leaves the field of play.
- 40'Five minutes remain until the break, for Bayern to either find their second goal or keep the opposition out, with Guardiola's side creating far more chances than the away side. Rudiger has threatened from corners, but otherwise Stuttgart haven't really got going offensively.
- 38'Muller drives through the heart of the Stuttgart defence, before Rudiger slides in excellently as the Bayern forward looks to pull the trigger! Bernat collects the loose ball, but the Spaniard's cross is hacked away at the near post. The hosts attack again, before claiming for handball by Sakai, but the referee isn't interested!
- 36'Boateng breaks to the right byline and outmuscles Rudiger with ease, but the referee pulls back play for a supposed push on the Stuttgart defender. Boateng has had plenty of freedom down the right-hand side throughout, with Werner doing very little going in the other direction for the visitors.
- 34'Muller tries to flick on an Alonso pass for Lewandowski, but Rudiger steps in ahead of the Poland international to clear upfield. Bayern are still looking composed and comfortable on the ball, despite Stuttgart's slightly increased intensity since going behind.
- 32'Less than a quarter of an hour remains until the break, with Bayern still searching for their second goal which would provide Die Roten with something of a safety net. Leitner goes down briefly after being caught by Gotze's forearm, but the midfielder is fine to continue.
- 30'Ibisevic heads wide! Harnik delivers a teasing cross from the right, before the Bosnia international looks to direct his effort inside the far post! It takes a slight deflection on its way behind for a corner, from which Rudiger nods narrowly wide again!
- 29'Bayern finally have their deserved lead, with the home crowd asking their team to go for a second immediately. Stuttgart will perhaps want to get back on level terms before the break, but holding out and not conceding a quickfire second might be the best idea for Veh's men.
- 27'Goal Mario Götze
- 27'Yellow Card Oriol Romeu
- 27'GOOOOAL! BAYERN TAKE THE LEAD! Trouble stems from a great free-kick delivery from Alonso, as Stuttgart can only half-clear! Gotze controls the ball deep in the box, before thrashing a powerful finish beyond Ulreich and into the bottom left corner!
- 26'Bernat and Lewandowski combine brilliantly down the left-hand side, with the latter using a clever backheel to release his Spanish teammate. Romeu slides across to cover, bringing down Bernat when he was in full flight, earning the Chelsea loanee a yellow card.
- 24'Alonso tries to pick out Muller at the back post, but Rudiger is able to head clear. The ball is then worked into Lewandowski's feet at the edge of the penalty area, but Schwaab manages to make life difficult for the former Lech Poznan forward on the turn and robs him of possession.
- 22'Badstuber does well under pressure to nutmeg Ibisevic before bringing the ball out from the back. Bayern are happy to stroke the ball around their own half and let Stuttgart chase, as Guardiola's system continues to look more natural with each passing game - but for a lack of penetration at times.
- 20'Bayern continue to see more of the ball, with Alonso thus far having an impressive debut sitting deep in midfield. Lewandowski has been fairly quiet due to a lack of service, but Guardiola's men definitely seem to be the more likely of the two sides to break the deadlock.
- 18'Stuttgart win a rare corner, which Rudiger turns just wide of the back post! The 21-year-old rises brilliantly to beat Alaba to the ball, but Neuer is confident enough to let the headed effort zip off the turf and behind for a goal-kick.
- 17'Muller breaks down the left before trying to slip a pass in behind Klein for Alaba to chase, but the former Red Bull Salzburg defender does well to shield the ball out of play for a goal-kick. The opening quarter of an hour has been all Bayern, but the hosts can't seem to find their opener.
- 15'Gotze is denied by Ulreich before Muller's effort is then beaten over the crossbar by the goalkeeper! The former Dortmund man fires straight at the Stuttgart shot-stopper, before the loose ball is whipped back into the box. Muller steers it towards goal, but Ulreich uses a strong wrist to palm the effort behind for a corner - which comes to nothing.
- 13'Badstuber picks out Lahm on the right-hand side, who sets the ball back to Boateng, but the central defender's early cross is gathered simply by Ulreich. The Stuttgart goalkeeper has been regularly involved, while Neuer has remained a mere spectator.
- 11'A fantastic through ball from Lahm picks out Lewandowski, who races through on goal, but Ulreich is very quick to come out and smother the pass! The Poland international shows his appreciation to his teammate for what was an outstanding ball.
- 10'Alaba tries to play a quick one-two in the centre of the park, but is blocked off as he attempts to break beyond his marker. The referee isn't interested, but Bayern retain the ball. Veh's men are restricting their opposition to non-threatening areas for the most part, but Die Roten's back three hasn't been stretched whatsoever.
- 8'Gotze now breaks down the left-hand side, but is robbed of possession by Klein as he looks to cut inside. Bayern are looking strong in the early stages, with Stuttgart struggling to break out of their own half for more than a few seconds at a time.
- 7'Bayern are controlling possession in the early stages, with Alonso already showing the range of passing he's capable of. The home crowd are getting behind their side, urging them to make a good start to this contest. Boateng picks out Muller with a crossfield pass, but the Germany international cushions his compatriot's ball into Ulreich.
- 5'Muller is nearly picked out by an early cross from Lahm, but Ulreich is quick off his line to claim above the Bayern striker. Stuttgart are keen to keep plenty of men behind the ball, before hitting Ibisevic and looking to break from there.
- 4'A loose ball pops up to Harnik on the edge of the Bayern penalty area, but the Stuttgart forward is unable to get a shot away due to intense pressure from several red and blue shirts. There's a reasonable tempo and atmosphere here at the moment.
- 3'Stuttgart work their way down the right, before Leitner gets the ball set back to his feet. He tries to curl a cross in towards Ibisevic, but Dante is easily able to hook the delivery away from danger.
- 2'It appears that David Alaba is playing as a central midfielder in the early stages, though the Austria international is comfortable enough to cover in behind and slot into defence behind Bernat if required.
- 1'We are underway in the first half at the Allianz Arena! Bayern are wearing their red and blue home strip, while Stuttgart are in all white!
- There's a quarter of an hour until kick-off, so be sure to stick around for all of the action as the Bundesliga's reigning champions look to gain some momentum after only picking up a solitary point last time out. Stuttgart aren't fancied to fare too well during the current campaign, but won't want to take a morale-sapping beating at the hands of Guardiola's men.
- Stuttgart substitutes: Haggui, Niedermeier, Gruezo, Kostic, Kirschbaum, Rausch, Maxim.
- Stuttgart starting line-up: Ulreich; Klein, Schwaab, Rudiger, Sakai; Gentner, Oriol Romeu; Harnik, Leitner, Werner; Ibisevic.
- Bayern substitutes: Benatia, Ribery, Shaqiri, Pizarro, Gaudino, Rode, Starke.
- Bayern starting line-up: Neuer; Boateng, Dante, Badstuber; Bernat, Alaba, Xabi Alonso, Lahm; Gotze; Lewandowski, Muller.
- TEAM NEWS: Vedad Ibisevic is given the unenviable task of leading the line alone for the visitors, with Timo Werner and Martin Harnik the men designed to support their Bosnian teammate. Oriol Romeu and Christian Genter are deployed to shield the back four, with summer signing Florian Klein again starting at right-back. Much will be asked of the fairly young central defensive duo of Daniel Schwaab and Antonio Rudiger.
- TEAM NEWS: Mehdi Benatia makes the bench for the home side, with Dante chosen to accompany Jerome Boateng and Holger Badstuber in the heart of defence. Summer signing Xabi Alonso slots into holding midfield, with either David Alaba or Philipp Lahm seemingly asked to fill in at right wing-back. Mario Gotze is given more of a free role to roam behind Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski in attack. Franck Ribery is among the substitutes, with Arjen Robben missing out.
- I'm Simon Harrison and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from the Allianz Arena, as Die Roten look to kick on from a surprise draw with Schalke and keep pace with table-topping Bayer Leverkusen. Following a disappointing finish last season, Armin Veh will be hoping to at least try and take a point from the reigning German champions in order to help guide Stuttgart to safety.
- Hello and welcome to live coverage of Bayern Munich versus Stuttgart, as Pep Guardiola's side look to come out of the international break with a home win - not least due to Thomas Muller's heroics for Germany. Today's visitors, who initially started their Bundesliga campaign well with a point against Gladbach, did suffer defeat at the hands of newly promoted Koln last time out.
